- Sprinkler Systems
- Hose Reels Systems
- Landing Valves Systems
- Deluge Systems
- Foam Systems
- FM 200 Systems

- Piping for Sprinklers Systems
Sprinkler Systems
A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection method that consists of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flowrate to a water distribution piping system connected to fire sprinklers. Upright and pendent sprinklers produce a hemispherical water distribution pattern below the deflector. During a fire, the thermal-sensitive liquid in the glass bulb expands, causing the bulb to shatter, releasing the button and spring seal assembly.
Hose Reels Systems
A fire hose is a high-pressure hose that carries water or fire retardant (such as foam) to extinguish fires. Outdoors, it connects to a fire engine or hydrant, while indoors, it can permanently attach to a building's standpipe or plumbing system. A hose reel is a cylindrical spindle made of metal, fiberglass, or plastic, used for storing a hose. The most common styles are spring-driven (self-retracting), hand crank, or motor-driven.
Landing Valves Systems
A firefighting landing valve is a crucial part of the hose system, acting as a manual stop valve for controlling the firefighting system. By rotating the landing valve handle anti-clockwise, water flow in the firefighting system is activated.
Deluge Systems
A deluge fire sprinkler system is similar to a pre-action system, except the sprinkler heads are open and the pipe is not pressurized with air. Deluge systems are used in high hazard areas such as power plants, aircraft hangars, and chemical storage or processing facilities.
Foam Systems
A compressed air foam system (CAFS) delivers fire retardant foam for firefighting, extinguishing fires, or protecting unburned areas. The foam blankets the fuel, reducing its capacity to seek out an oxygen source.
FM 200 Systems
FM200 is a synthetic fire suppression gas that extinguishes fires by removing the free radicals or heat elements from the fire triangle (oxygen, heat, and fuel). FM200 is stored as a liquid in pressurized cylinders and flows through a piping network to a discharge nozzle where it is deployed as a gas. FM200 systems are designed to discharge within 10 seconds into a room or enclosure with structural integrity to retain the agent, uniformly mixing to achieve a minimum concentration level in accordance with NFPA 2001 or agency listings.
Hydrant Systems
A fire hydrant is a visible fixture connected to a municipal or private water service network, designed to provide the water required by firefighters to extinguish fires. Fire hydrants are placed inside or outside buildings, parking areas, industrial areas, mines, roadsides, etc.
Fire Pumps & Controls
A fire pump is a component of a fire sprinkler system's water supply, powered by electricity, diesel, or steam. The pump intake is connected to the public underground water supply piping or a static water source (e.g., tank, reservoir). Fire pumps are usually housed in a pump room near the fire tanks and are controlled by pressure sensors. When a hydrant is opened or a sprinkler is activated, the pressure drops, and the sensors detect this drop, switching the fire pumps on.
Piping for Sprinkler Systems
Firefighting pipes are carbon steel pipes used to convey fire suppression agents such as water or gas. Typically red, light-wall pipes may have a galvanized exterior. Red steel pipes are limited to wet pipe sprinkler systems only. The most commonly used steel pipe for sprinkler systems is black steel pipe. Copper tubing is also listed for sprinklers in NFPA 13, and plastic pipes (CPVC and PEX tubing) are permitted for certain sprinkler systems.
HVAC Systems
At MEPCO Group, we offer a diverse range of HVAC solutions designed to meet the cooling and ventilation needs of residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Our offerings include:
- All Types of A/C Units
- Chiller Systems
- Air Fans
- HVAC Pumps
- Duct Systems
- Cooling Towers
- Chilled Water Piping Works
- AHUs & FCUs
All Type of A/C Units
Electric refrigerant-based AC units range from small units that can cool a small bedroom, which can be carried by a single adult, to massive units installed on the roof of office towers that can cool an entire building. There are four main types of HVAC systems. There are split systems, hybrid systems, duct-free systems, and packaged heating and air systems. The central air conditioning system found in most homes are a "split system". This typically means there is a compressor unit (outside) and an indoor coil, installed on your furnace inside the home.
Chiller Systems
A chiller is a machine that removes heat from a liquid via a vapor-compression or absorption refrigeration cycle. This liquid can then be circulated through a heat exchanger to cool equipment. Cooled liquid passes through pipes in a building and coils in air handlers or through fan-coil units, which help dehumidify the air. Generally, chillers are air and water cooled. There are three different types of chillers: (1) air, (2) water, and (3) evaporative condensed chiller. There are four subcategories in each of the above categories for industrial chillers: (1) reciprocating, (2) centrifugal, (3) screw driven (4) and absorption chillers.
Air Fans
Ventilation fans are used to circulate the air in the buildings or houses. This type of ventilation is known as mechanical ventilation in which fans or blowers are used to create movement of the air. The other way to ventilate a house is using the natural ventilation where the air is moved by natural forces. Exhaust fans work by sucking hot or humid air out of a small, localized area, allowing fresh air to enter from elsewhere (perhaps a doorway or vent) in order to replace it. The warm air that's drawn out using an exhaust fan is then pulled through a ducting system and expelled outside.
HVAC Pumps
Most pumps used in HVAC are a centrifugal type. One of the most common is the base or frame mounted end suction pump. With this pump there's a frame upon which the motor and pump are mounted, and both shafts are connected by coupling, which makes servicing the equipment much easier. Constant speed pumps drive the flow through the primary (chiller or boiler) loop. A separate secondary pump delivers variable flow to the secondary loop and two-way valves are applied to control flow through each zone.
Duct Systems
Ducts are conduits or passages used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to deliver and remove air. The needed airflows include, for example, supply air, return air, and exhaust air. Ducts commonly also deliver ventilation air as part of the supply air. A duct system is also called ductwork. The duct, or air distribution, system used in cooling and heating your home is a collection of tubes that distributes the heated or cooled air to the different rooms. All of the air drawn into the return duct(s) is conditioned and should be delivered back through the supply registers. The most common types of rigid ductwork are: Sheet metal ducts. These are the kinds of ducts you've seen in films – usually with an action hero crawling through them! Galvanized steel and aluminum are the most common materials for sheet metal ducts.
Cooling Towers
A cooling tower is a heat rejection device that rejects waste heat to the atmosphere through the cooling of a water stream to a lower temperature. Cooling towers may either use the evaporation of water to remove process heat and cool the working fluid to near the wet-bulb air temperature or, in the case of closed circuit dry cooling towers, rely solely on air to cool the working fluid to near the dry-bulb air temperature. There are three main types of cooling towers that are defined by how water or air pass through them. These types include crossflow, counterflow, and hyperbolic. There are also two varieties classified solely on airflow, known as induced draft and passive draft cooling towers.
Chilled Water Piping Works
Chilled water is a commodity often used to cool a building's air and equipment, especially in situations where many individual rooms must be controlled separately, such as a hotel. Chilled Water: PVC Pipe. Chilled Water systems contain and transport cool water throughout industrial and commercial... Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) piping is the most widely used plastic piping material.
AHU’s & FCU’s
An air handler, or air handling unit (often abbreviated to AHU), is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. Sometimes AHUs discharge (supply) and admit (return) air directly to and from the space served without ductwork. A fan coil unit (FCU) is a simple device consisting of a heating and/or cooling heat exchanger or 'coil' and fan. It is part of an HVAC system found in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. FCU is often observed to be noisier than the AHU. AHU v/s FCU AHU and FCU are both included in the HVAC system. The latter is an acronym that describes multiple systems of heating, ventilating and air conditioning. AHUs are usually connected to a central HVAC system whereas an FCU can function or be installed itself.

Automatic Systems
Automatic fire alarm systems are crucial for loss prevention during fire emergencies. Their primary function is to detect early-stage fires, alert building occupants, and notify first responders. Commercial security devices send signals to a fire alarm control panel, while household smoke detectors, also known as smoke alarms, emit local audible or visual alarms, notifying the control panel and authorities, and prompting occupants to take action.
Manual Systems
Manual call points initiate alarm signals through a button press or breaking glass to reveal a button. They can be part of either a manual or automatic alarm system.
Voice Evacuation Systems
Voice evacuation system amplifiers, or voice evacuation panels, are essential for fire alarm and emergency communications systems, playing pre-recorded or live messages. They can distribute messages across multiple channels. Speaker/strobes in these systems provide detailed instructions to ensure safe evacuation.
Analogues Systems
Analog addressable devices have individual addresses on a wiring loop. The control panel communicates with each device sequentially, and each device reports back with an analog value based on the smoke or heat detected.
Door Monitors Systems
A door holder is a fire protection device that releases doors when fire is detected. It prevents doors from closing by using magnetism, with an electric current passing through the door holder coil.
Conventional & Addressable Systems
Businesses commonly use conventional and addressable alarm systems. Both types link devices like call points and smoke detectors to a central control panel. The main difference is that addressable systems identify the exact device activated, while conventional systems indicate the zone of activation. Conventional systems are cost-effective for small facilities but can make locating alarms challenging.
